Clinical Services

Clinically appropriate dental care delivered with professionalism, respect, and sound clinical judgment.

Second Chance Dentistry provides professional dental services focused on oral health, comfort, and long-term stability. All care is delivered in a clinical setting and guided by individualized treatment planning, clinical appropriateness, provider availability, and organizational capacity.

Services are focused on health impact and functional outcomes rather than elective or appearance-driven enhancement. Care decisions are made based on patient need, not labels, assumptions, or external pressures.

Services are provided based on clinical need, provider availability, and applicable program or funding requirements.

Second Chance Dentistry focuses on providing dental care to adult patients (18 and older), with particular attention to individuals who face barriers to care, including those impacted by involvement with the justice system.

Patient Population

  • Routine examinations, diagnostic imaging, cleanings, and preventive services designed to identify oral health concerns early and support long-term dental stability. Preventive care focuses on reducing the progression of disease, managing risk factors, and establishing a foundation for sustainable oral health.

  • Restorative care is provided to address active dental disease, functional impairment, or discomfort that interferes with daily life. Treatment planning is guided by clinical necessity, prognosis, and the goal of restoring function, comfort, and oral health stability rather than cosmetic enhancement.

  • Stabilization services focus on managing pain, infection, and urgent dental conditions that can disrupt physical health, employment, housing stability, or daily functioning. These services prioritize timely intervention and appropriate follow-up care to prevent escalation of untreated conditions.

  • When a patient’s needs extend beyond the clinic’s scope or capacity, care coordination and referrals are provided as clinically appropriate. This may include coordination with specialty providers or community partners to support continuity of care and long-term treatment planning.

Our Services

Services are provided based on clinical need. Offerings may evolve as the clinic grows and resources expand.

What we intentionally do not provide

Second Chance Dentistry does not provide dental services that are cosmetic in nature or performed solely for aesthetic enhancement. Services are prioritized based on clinical need and health impact, not appearance-driven goals.

Certain treatments may offer aesthetic improvement as a secondary benefit and may be available when clinically appropriate, aligned with the clinic’s mission, and consistent with organizational capacity and applicable funding limitations.

Service availability and funding sources may vary based on clinical determination, program eligibility, and organizational structure.
